Hi! My name is Marcos and I am the director of Kitewalk, a company with strongs goals and values. We foster innovation and inclusion, we wish help people discover the activities and information of interest around them no matter where they are, effortlessly. We want to build solutions that are easy to understand and use by anyone, no matter their technological experiences.We want people to fly kites. We pursue the spirit of discovery and freedom.
In order to lead such values, there is a corporate must: living them, feeling them in first person.
That's why I will be personally engaging in a road movie for a whole year, bringing my wife and kids into it. My goal is two fold:
- Kitewalk Smart-City solutions can improve our cities offer from a social point of view, from an economical point of view and from a tourism point of view. I want to feel that first hand, meeting new people on the road, engaging into interesting conversations with city members, councils and town halls on the way, listening to their current needs in terms of citizen and tourist communication, evaluating if Kitewalk's proposal could get aligned with them, and building collaboration plans. We aim to build a Mediterranean cities ecosystem which proves to work seamlessly for our population no matter where our citizens are.
- From a personal standpoint, it is my wish to show my kids that life is not stone written, we all have the potential to make it evolve as we feel we should. I want to unconsciously perceive the value of pursuing dreams, fighting for them, getting in action, moving, deciding, living for what drives them. Life is simpler when we act upon well-known routines, but it is richer when we get ourselves outside our comfort zones. I wish to present them such heritage. It will be a tough year for all of us, but a rich one too. We will all learn lots of things from the places we will be visiting and from ourselves.
I wish we will keep flying kites together for a big while.
